Yup, lots of manual labor . Makes me wonder how uniform each set is to each other. How this effects performance not only between competitors but even within the team.
You see it all the time in F1, where sometimes that set of times doesn’t quite perform like they expected to.
But that’s the way it is. For these limited production motorsport tires, it’s more cost effective this way than investing in the tooling for more automated production, which is likely to be more consistent in production.
